Yes Paste and encaustic question

Today I attached printmaking paper to wood panels with Yes Paste, and I was wondering how long I needed to wait before I cover it with wax?

Thanks,

Brett

metallic

I need some advice in getting a metallic surface on dimensional wax--in particular pewter. I have both a paint stick & oil paint.

Encaustic Question???

Can Winsor and Newton water mixable oil paints be used to color the wax medium? There is no water in the paint or acrylic chemicals. Has anyone tried this? I am asking because I am implementing encaustic painting into my painting courses next semester, and we have a large reserve of the water mixable oils.

Thanks,

Brett
